Hey I just moved to the big island from the mainland. Granted... you are not ALL from hawaii...but i was banking that a couple of you were...what kind of ping do you hawaiians get? and is this the best server to play on from a ping standpoint? latency for me on my old server runs about 250-300.
Just thought i would ask :/

I live downtown, Honolulu and my ping is around 150-300 with Hi Tel DSL. But I'm on wireless so it could be lower with a wired connection.
I'm not sure about RR. I'm sure someone in the guild with RR will post here too since most of them got RR.

I'm in Pearl City and my ping is about 115-130. I changed my registry to lower my ping. Supposedly speeds up wow/internet games but slows down browsing...I've been using it like this forever and I don't really see a difference in browsing.

I used to sit at 250-350ms with Roadrunner, but I made the same registry change that kuro mentioned and now I'm almost always at 100ms. Imo, the best one to use is Leatrix Latency Fix on wowinterface.com. Leatrix comes with 3 executable files, one for installation, one for removal, and one to check if the fix is already present. It's all automatic, so you don't have to worry about a typo crashing your system. Only bad news is mac people have to do it the old fashion way, read the info on the link for the details. This is often referred to as the TCP/ACK fix.

Also, all the oceanic server's ping should be the same, since I'm pretty sure they are all based in California.
