Guild Ranks
Keiki (newcomer, aka Initiate)
These are new recruits to the guild and as such are not yet full fledged members. In order to be invited to the guild, they must have undergone through our screening process which includes reading the guild charter/rules, filling out an application, and completing a brief interview. This is the time to feel out our guild and our style of play. Do you and we think you fit into our guild? New initiates into the guild will be expected to register on the guild website. If they do not register on the guild website under their main character's name, they will not be eligible for promotion to Ohana. Failure to register on the website reflects a lack of interest in the guild as a whole, and we pretty much only want people who are interested in the guild and interested in participating in guild events and groups. During this trial period, Keiki are expected to apply for raid spots and group with other guild members as much as possible in order for the guild to properly evaluate their performance, attitude, etc.
Raids: Keiki are not eligible for raid participation unless invited by an officer for a trial spot in the raid. They are expected to sign up on the Raid calendar to be considered for a trial raid spot.
DKP: Keiki are not eligible to earn any DKP. They will have last preference for any raid loot. If a raid loot item drops that is not needed by any higher ranking member, the Keiki will be eligible to take the items and receive negative DKP for the minimum DKP bid amount. Please note that this is the only situation where a member may have negative DKP.
Promotion: The trial period will last for a minimum of 2 weeks with no upward maximum. Rank promotion needs to be applied for through the Rank Promotion process and approved by 2 members of the officer panel.
Moe Moe (asleep, aka Inactive)
These are inactive members of the guild who have not been active over a 3 month period of time. At this time, there are no plans to remove inactive players from the game. We realize that real world commitments and events take place and wish our members the best of luck with whatever takes them away from the game.
Raids: Moe Moe players are not eligible for raid participation unless invited by an Officer.
DKP: Players in this rank will have their DKP wiped clean and will not be eligible to earn any DKP.
Promotion: Reactivation will be determined by an Officer.
Mahu (If you from Hawaii, you know what Mahu means!)
A guild member that is being punished for noobing it big time. They will sit in this rank until an officer feels they have learned their lesson. A Mahu will have to live with that name for a set period of time. A generous deposit to the guild bank via item or gold will help restore your original guild rank; otherwise, you'll have to stick with that name. Original guild rank permissions will carry on if you are Mahu(i.e. officers or class leaders will maintain their guild permissions if they become a Mahu, but please be aware that officers should know better before acting Mahu).
Ohana (family, aka Member)
These are official members of the Hawaiian guild. Ohana must be registered on the website with the same name as their in game main character. Required Add-ons and Ventrilo installation & use is a requirement to attend raids. Ohana have access to deposit and remove items from the member section of the guild bank. Ohana are expected to look for groups within the guild before looking for pick-up groups. If people go on vacation or are away for whatever reason from the game, they should tell an officer or post to the forums.
Raids: Ohana are eligible for raid participation.
DKP: Ohana are eligible to earn DKP. They are able to bid for raid loot after all Raider L2 and Raider L1 ranks have passed.
Promotion: Approval for a promotion needs to be applied for through the Rank Promotion process and approved by 2 members of the officer panel. Members of this rank must hold this rank for a minimum of 1 month before being considered for a promotion.
Raid Level Ranks
Overview: Hawaiians members are encouraged to meet certain requirements in order to be qualified for end game raid content. Meeting these qualifications is not mandatory, but those who do work hard to fulfill these requirements will be rewarded for their efforts. These ranks are for those who choose to align their character with the progression goals of the guild. These are raid level ranks beyond the rank of Ohana. Please note that simply meeting the stat requirements will not guarantee a rank promotion. Attendance, sign-ups, raid performance, and attitude are used collectively to evaluate a member for raid level rank promotion.
